Atelier Unik-Art
Sébastien Toussaint
Sébastien lives in the small village of L’Isle-Verte in ‘Bas Saint-Laurent, Quebec, which he loves for the beauty of its landscapes and the friendliness of its people. Passionate about wood since his childhood when he spent time in his father’s workshop, he has been a wood artisan for over 30 years, making cutting boards and other kitchen tools, chests and boxes.
His meticulous creations are handmade, with the occasional assist from technological equipment (Laser engraving and CNC) . Whenever possible the raw material is harvested locally and eco-friendly. In his creative process he looks for ‘beauty in simplicity’ but most importantly, what he creates must be utilitarian and functional.
