  • What time do I need to place my order by for next day delivery?

    Orders must be placed by 1pm (Newfoundland time) on business days, to qualify for next day gift basket delivery in the St. John's metro area. Orders are shipped via Millennium Express Courier ground service which offers next day delivery for St. John's, Mount Pearl, surrounding municipalities and most of NL. Orders received after 1 pm will be assembled and shipped the next business day.

  • Do I need to set up an account to order online?

    No. Orders can be placed as a guest and no order information will be saved for subsequent orders.

  • What if I need to order a bulk quantity of gift crates?

    For corporate clients who wish to purchase larger quantities of gift crates at once, bulk discounts are available. Please contact to discuss your needs. Please keep in mind that all of our products are small-batch, hand-made, and artisanal. Because of this fact, we require more lead time for large orders. While we will certainly do our best to work within your timeframe, a 6 to 10 week order lead-time would be ideal. This enables us to give our makers the necessary time to get their products to us.

  • Can our company open a corporate account?

    Yes, please contact us via the corporate page to set up an account.

  • Will any products be substituted?

    Due to the nature of our curated products, we cannot always guarantee that every product will be in stock. We reserve the right to substitute products of equal value, quality or type.

Return Policy

  • What is your Return Policy

    If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with your product and would like to return it, we will gladly do so provided that the contents of the gift crate have not been opened. Returned crates must be returned to The Makers Crate Company in the same manner as they were originally shipped. Shipping charges are non refundable. For returned gift baskets a 15% restocking fee will be applied.


  • Do you ship to the USA?

    At this time we do not ship outside of Canada.

  • How do you ship?

    We ship via Canada Post for all non-local orders. For local orders, we use Millennium Express Courier.

  • Can I pick up my Makers Crate order?

    Yes, for local area orders, your finished gift crate can be picked up at 835 Topsail Road in Mount Pearl. Please see map for directions.

  • Do you provide rush services if I need my gift today?

    We do offer same-day rush service in the local St. John's metropolitan area. A $20 same day shipping rate will be charged. Orders requiring same day service must be placed by 1pm Newfoundland time. Additional shipping fees may apply if you require quicker service.

  • When will my order be ready?

    'Local Delivery' will be delivered 24-48hrs after purchase. Generally, shipped items will arrive from Canada Post 5-7 days from date of purchase.

  • How will I know when my order has shipped?

    You will receive a shipment confirmation email after your Makers Crate has been shipped. You can track delivery status on the Canada Post website with the tracking number you receive in your email.

  • Can I have my Makers Crate delivered directly to my door or the recipient’s door?

    At checkout, you can specify the mailing address you would like your crate to be delivered to. This way, you can have it delivered to your residence and personally give it to the recipient, or you can have it delivered right to their door for convenience.


  • How much tax do I pay?

    To conform to Federal government regulations we will charge the sales tax that applies in your province or territory.
