Julien and Nathalie met and fell in love in Wakefield, QC: he; a Frenchmen with a passion for chocolate; she, a young hospitality professional who had itchy feet. Together, they traveled to Europe to begin their adventures. There they worked for a handful of award-winning hotels and independent chocolatiers in France, England and Scotland.
Established in 2014, Rousseau Chocolatier specialties include decadent chocolates & macaroons, all handmade on-site, using fresh ingredients and locally sourced as much as possible. From their shop in downtown Halifax you can peek through the viewing window and observe sights of the production kitchen
